The purpose of these simultaneous events is to bring together champions of innovation from the private sector, research institutions, and the U.S. government to exchange ideas and initiatives, educate and inform the public about innovation in artificial intelligence, identify new ways of collaborating and strengthening partnerships between industry leaders, and enable productive discussions among such leaders and the public with the overall goal of ensuring U.S. leadership in decisive emerging technologies. The Ash Carter Exchange will feature ideas and initiatives on best ways to connect innovation and national security, which was one of the great legacies of Dr. Ash Carter, the 25th Secretary of Defense. The AI Expo will demonstrate cutting-edge technologies that have strategic significance for the United States and the free world.
